This course offers a comprehensive exploration of rock music, its origins, and its evolution. Here's an overview of the course content in English:

What is Rock? And what is Rock and Roll? What's the difference between them? How did the rock genre come into the world, and how is it related to the blues? Who were the first artists to play rock? What types of rock exist? Can anyone play, and how is rock music composed? What instruments are needed to form a rock band? How can one become famous and be a rock star? Basic background in music or playing is required.

We will learn how in the early 20th century, people brought from Africa to the United States also brought with them new music that was unfamiliar in the West, how it became what is now known as the blues, and how additional genres developed from it, with the most important being the rock and roll genre, from which rock and pop evolved.

We will also learn about contemporary musical instruments, how they developed with the peak being the bands that emerged in the early 1960s, why and how they differ from traditional Western musical instruments, including percussion instruments that became the drum kit we know today.

Additionally, we will see how contemporary artists became famous singers or bands, how they gain fame and how they make a living from music today, and how singers and bands of the past (from the late 1950s) grew and developed, and how their music became popular.

This course promises to provide a rich understanding of rock music's history, instruments, and industry, from its blues roots to modern-day rock stars.
