After establishing the theoretical foundations of interior design, it is time to delve into the practical creative process. In this course, you will learn how to transform an initial, vague idea into a cohesive, practical work plan with a unique vision.
An idea can be spontaneous inspiration, a dream, a feeling, or a concept. We will first thoroughly imprint and understand the term "concept" and delve into comprehending its underlying components – the driving thought, values, emotions, and inspirations. We will learn to identify the core of the idea, break it down into elements, and collect relevant inspiration from diverse sources such as art, nature, and culture.
Subsequently, we will focus on translating the concept into a clear and concrete work plan that includes an execution strategy – selecting style, colors, materials, furniture, items, and design elements. We will incorporate sketching exercises, drawings, examples, and comparisons to similar projects, while examining unique ways to interpret the concept through various means, maintaining the essence and core values.
We will acquire tools for visual representation of the plan through various methods such as drawings, 3D renderings, and mood boards. In the final stage, we will combine all the acquired skills in a comprehensive design project – young students will be required to apply their own conceptual idea, develop it, and of course, present it in a tangible visual manner.
Upon completion of this course, young students will master the process of processing and converting a visionary idea into a practical interior design path – from an initial spontaneous concept to a cohesive execution plan. This is a central core skill for successful designers, which represents the ability to realize their artistic vision.
